The singer’s speaking voice is the first point of assessment when diagnosing vocal issues. Problems such as vocal fatigue and poor technique present in the speaking voice sometimes more so than in singing. While many singers have good technique in singing, they find that they cannot apply that technique to their speaking. It is their speaking that lets them down and where they tire easily rather than in their singing but issues with their speaking also impacts singing. Singing teachers have resources and exercises to help with singing but find they are far less confident and less knowledgeable when it comes to helping singers with the speaking voice.
This workshop is specifically designed for singing teachers will offer guidance in diagnosing problems in the speaking voice and provide practical exercises and routines to restore efficiency and stamina.
