The actor/singer of any genre is required not only to have a developed singing voice but must also be able to characterise and act through singing.
With increased numbers of trained performers auditioning, finding a way to be memorable and to bring your own sound and insight to a song is more important than ever.
Key to this ability is an understanding of the substantial differences in technique, objectives and practise that acting through singing requires compared to acting solely with the speaking voice. This course will identify those key differences and offer practical, take away exercises to develop these skills.
Estill Voice Training provides unique access to training extended range, dynamic control and vocal choices tailored to the needs of the individual performer.
We will also look at how to identify the major emotional shifts in the music and lyric and matching look at which Voice Qualities best serve the song and the character.
